Mrs. Betty Blanche Cook Stonecipher, age 91, of Jackson, Georgia passed away Saturday, December 23, 2017 at Dream Catcher’s Farms in Jackson. She was born on Tuesday, April 27, 1926 in Chattanooga , Tennessee to the late Homer Cook and the late Nettie Gertrude Kilpatrick Cook. Betty was a member of Stark United Methodist Church. She was an excellent gardener and had a green thumb. Betty enjoyed reading and crafts such as crocheting and making blankets. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Oscar “Pat” Stonecipher, Jr.
Betty is survived by her daughters and son-law, Ann S. Holzinger of Jackson, Patricia S. Mealor and husband George of Atlanta; grandchildren, Rachael M. Clayton and partner Summer, Paul Joseph Mealor, Alicia M. Case and husband Carey, Mary B. Mealor, and Ann Marie Holzinger Davis and husband Brian; great-grandchildren, Seth and Rory Clayton, and Sawyer and Oscar Case; sister-in-law’s, Norma S. Blair of Sevierville, TN and Helen Clark Goodman of Knoxville, TN; many beloved nieces and nephews.
A memorial service for Mrs. Betty Stonecipher will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, January 13, 2017 at Stark United Methodist Church with Pastor Stephen Soulen officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers please make contributions to Stark United Methodist Church, 1097 Halls Bridge Rd, Jackson, GA 30233.
