Obituary of David Anthony Odum

Mr. David Anthony Odum, age 49, of Jackson, GA, passed away Monday, December 18, 2017 at Wellstar Sylvan Grove Hospital.  He was born on Saturday, November 30, 1968 in East Point, GA to the late Larry Benson Odum and Betty Sue Butler Odum Duke. David was a member of Cedar Rock Church.  He loved to sing and play the flute. David enjoyed joking around with friends and family. 

 

David is survived by his wife, Sara Odum; mother, Sue Duke; brothers, Russell Odum and Kelley, Stephen Odum and Tegan; mother-in-law, Sherry Trickel; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

 

Funeral services for Mr. David Odum will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 23, 2017 at Sherrell Memorial Chapel with Pastor Greg Johns officiating. Interment will follow in the Jackson City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday evening.   Those who wish may sign the online guest registry at www.sherrell-westburyfuneralhome.com
