Obituary of Ronnie Gean Turner

Mr. Ronnie Gean Turner, age 63, of Jacksonville, Florida, formerly of Jackson, Georgia, passed away Wednesday, February 14, 2018 in Jacksonville.  Ronnie was born on Thursday, July 15, 1954 in Rome, Georgia to the late James Frank Turner and the late Elsie Mae McCray Turner.  He loved NASCAR, hunting, and fishing.  Ronnie dearly loved his grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his brothers, Charles Turner and David Turner.

Ronnie is survived by his wife, Cathy Turner; children, Jessica Cochran (Daniel), Wesley Turner (Brittany Heaton), Rusty Turner; grandchildren, Breanna Bishop, Briley Turner, Braylinn Turner, and one on the way; brother, Stanley Turner (Kathy); several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service for Mr. Ronnie Turner will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 18, 2018 at Sherrell Memorial Chapel with Reverend Bobby Simmons officiating.  Interment will follow in the Jackson City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Saturday evening. Those who wish may sign the online guest registry at www.sherrell-westburyfuneralhome.com
