Mrs. Ruth Mae Nobles Faulk, age 95, of Jonesboro, Georgia, passed away Saturday, June 24, 2017 at Jonesboro Nursing and Rehab. She was born on Tuesday, November 15, 1921 in Blakely County, Georgia to the late Leon Nobles and the late Ida Udell Davis Nobles. Ruth enjoyed watching birds, working with flowers and reading her Bible. She loved children, especially reading to children. Ruth was a member of First Baptist Jonesboro. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert A. Faulk, Sr.; son-in-law, George Sanders. Ruth is survived by her children, Loretta Sanders, Glendol and Carlton Foster, Al and Doris Faulk; grandchildren, Robin, Carla, Tammy, Ryan and Madyson; great-grandchildren, Kyle, Kasey, Kayla and Virginia; brother and sister-in-law, James and Martha Churchwell; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service for Mrs. Ruth Faulk will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 in the Sherrell Memorial Chapel with Reverend Irvin Pearre and Reverend Hinton Harris officiating. Burial will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Those who wish may sign the online guest registry at www.sherrell-westburyfh.com.
