Obituary of Joseph Donald Hosey

Mr. Joseph Donald “Donny” Hosey, age 59, of Jackson, passed away on Monday, May 28, 2018 at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital.  Donny was born on Friday, May 30, 1958 in Sylacauga, Alabama to the late Franklin Alexander Hosey and the late Sue Pate Hosey. He was a former mason of the Indian Springs Masonic Lodge #303. Donny enjoyed model cars, fishing, CB Radios and was the Ham Radio operator and his handle was “King Fish”.  He was preceded in death by granddaughter, Madelyn Cardell.

 

Donny  is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Megan and Timmy Knuckles; son and daughter-in-law, Alexander and Haley Hosey; grandchildren, Jesse Hosey, Blaine Knuckles, Opal Knuckles; brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Joyce Hosey; sister and brother-in-law, Kim and Brian Weatherly; several nieces and nephews.

 

A memorial service for Mr. Donny Hosey will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, May 31, 2018 in the Sherrell Memorial Chapel with Mr. Rudy Mangham officiating.  Friends may visit the family at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
