Obituary of Belva Yvonne Gravitt

Mrs. Belva Yvonne Howle Gravitt, age 82, passed away on Wednesday, November 11, 2020, at her home in Jackson. Belva was born in Hartsville, South Carolina, on Sunday, November 21, 1937. She was the daughter of the late Albert Joye Howle and the late Alma Smith Howle. Belva served in the United States Air Force and was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. She enjoyed line dancing, square dancing, watching the Atlanta Braves, and going to the beach. Belva had a green thumb and enjoyed gardening as well as hanging out with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Calvin Gravitt; son, Daniel Lee Crow; brothers, James Howle, Carl Howle, Mac Howle; sisters, Elizabeth Howle Taylor, Lottie Jean Howle Walker, Miriam Howle Odom, and Dorothy Mae Winborn. Belva is survived by her children and their spouse, Donna Summers, David & Silvia Crow, Mark Gravitt; grandchildren, Dustin & Taylor Summers, Katie Summers, Samantha & Justin Emmons, Dylan Summers, Hannah Crow, Sarah Crow; great-grandchildren, Brody Summers, Memphis Summers, Emery Summers, Grant Summers, Parker Emmons, Haven Summers; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service for Mrs. Belva Gravitt will be held at Macedonia Baptist Church on Tuesday, November 17, 2020, at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Carl Reimold officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. Friends may come by the funeral home on Monday from 10:00 A.M. until 6:00 P.M.
