Jerry was a good friend.
As youngsters we delivered newspapers together on our first job.
We played little league and high school football together.
I stopped by the tire store often to visit and catch up on him and his family.
Rest in peace my friend.
It won't be long until we can throw those papers together again.

Dianne and I knew Jerry for over 50 years. He was a great friend and helped both of our families when our cars needed service at Crumbley Tire Center. We spent any weekends playing tennis, cards and having a good time with our families.
Jerry will be missed by everyone that knew him.

It is times like this that you realize how inadequate words are to express your true feelings for someone. Not only was Jerry my brother-in-law, but my tennis and racquetball partner. My car mechanic and tire guy. My poker buddy and very good friend. Jenny and I loved our vacations with Jan and Jerry. Jerry’s wit would always entertain you. Coming home for visits will not be the same without Jerry. Jerry will be missed. We loved you Jerry.

Jerry and I played football at Forest Park High School. His senior year he played right guard and I played left guard. We were both undersized for our position. For a kind, gentle soul, he was tenacious on the football field. My deepest regrets and heartfelt sympathy to Jan and Carole. Jerry Stapleton

Jerry was the kindest and the funniest person EVER.
He was my older brother that had to share his room with me until he went to college and then married. He would always make me laugh, find time to play with me, give the BEST Christmas presents. He was my Moms favorite and he was always quick with a joke or something hysterical to make us all laugh. He gave me my first car and unfortunately --- I was the little brother that always seem to need something for that great Opel GT that I loved. "My older brother owned a tire store" meant to me that all during all my years of college, my brother Jerry would be my kindest provider of car service and tire prices that I know were not even close to cost --- if not free. That was Jerry, he was always there to move me Greenville SC, store everything in his basement that I owned when I returned, and make every family Sunday gatherings fun for all of us.
I love my brother so much and I will always smile when I think of him and his unwavering thoughtful kindness he always showed me and everyone. To this day, I can remember some of his funniest stories and laugh out-loud at so many many things he would do and say. I can clearly see the look in his eyes just seconds before he spoke anticipating something so clever and funny.
I am so very sorry Jan, Brian, Jennifer, Shelby, Jackson and Carson for the huge loss. He was great, he was so caring and funny, and I am so proud that he was my brother. I love you Jerry
