Obituary of Victor L Wilson

Mr. Victor L. Wilson, age 94, of Warner Robins, Georgia, passed away Thursday, February 20, 2025.

Victor was born on Wednesday, July 30, 1930, in Jackson, Georgia to the late Victor and Marian Wilson. He served in the United States Navy. After joining the Navy, he was sent to Hawaii to learn Russian code. After being there for two years he was offered a scholarship to Auburn University where he earned his degree in Business Administration. He also earned his commission in the Navy Reserve where he spent a 19-year career. After retiring he worked at Robins Air Force base as an Employee Relations Specialist. Victor was an avid Auburn University fan and an animal lover.  He had a heart for his animals. He and Mrs. Ruth were married for 48 years and they were married the year of the bicentennial.

Victor is survived by his loving wife, Ruth Wilson; daughters and spouses, Debbie and Michael Mimbs, Vickie and Keith Sharp, Wendy Wilson; grandchildren, Trent Sharp, Ciara Friskie, Tyler Mimbs, Hudson Mimbs; great-grandchildren, Justin Sharp, Jordan Sharp, Lexie Friskie.

A funeral service for Mr. Victor Wilson will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, February 24, 2025, at the Sherrell Memorial Chapel with Mr. Rudy Mangham officiating. Friends may visit the family on Monday, one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
