Obituary of Aldine Keifer Kimbell
Mr. Aldine “Dean” Keifer Kimbell, Sr., age 79, of Jackson, Georgia, passed away Friday, March 28, 2025.
Dean was born on Sunday, August 12, 1945, in Jackson, Georgia to the late John Roger Kimbell, Sr. and Janet Goodman Kimbell. In addition to his parents, Dean was preceded in death by his sisters, Barbara Castleberry, Janet Jackson, and Diane Kimbell. Dean proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. After he got out of the service, Dean became a mechanic and owned his own shop which was eventually moved to his house. Three things that Dean enjoyed most were working on tractors, being on the tractor, and working the fields with tractors. He loved his dog Buddy very dearly and always took him for walks. Dean was a member at Towaliga Baptist Church. He never met a stranger and was always helping people.
Dean is survived by his son, Dean Kimbell, Jr.; sisters and brother-in-law, Anita Nelson, Candice (Johnny) Griffith, Kay Smart, Debra Kimbell; brother and sister-in-law, John Jr. (Patti) Kimbell; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members.
A funeral service for Mr. Dean Kimbell will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at the Sherrell Memorial Chapel, with Mr. Rudy Mangham officiating. Friends may visit the family on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M and on Wednesday, April 2, 2025 from 1:00 P.M. until the hour of service at Sherrell-Westbury Funeral Home.
