Ana Thurston posted a condolence

My fondest memory of Grandma Thurston was our visit to Hobby Lobby together when John, myself and our kids visited Atlanta many years ago. Grandma had a great sense of humor. She was very kind and welcoming. I am thankful that we did have an opportunity to spend a little time together that day and get to know one another a little. It's comforting to imagine she is resting in peace with Granpa Thurston.

No words can ever explain, nor could anyone know The closeness I had with my Mummy. My Mum had a difficult upbringing as did all of us children growing up amongst a mixed family. Considering I have lived in the state of Pennsylvania and Ohio most all of my adult life I still made visits driving to Conyer's Georgia to always visit my mum and "Big Jim" as that is what we always call my stepfather. Last Mother's Day was a beautiful visit that I will always cherish with the beautiful photos I have. I know that I will continue my annual visit to Georgia to visit her reasting place. It is with very deep sadness for myself, My husband and my children as we have lost someone who meant the most to us in our lives. I love you Mummy, I have always and will always Treasure everything, from conversations to your beautiful quilts, afghans and all the clothes you made my 2 children that I still have hanging in a special closet. Our love For you is never ending. ALWAYS, Dinnie & Kevin Meeker and my children Wren and Magdelynn (Maggie) of Toledo, OH.
