


Obituary of Ryan Failor Waits
Mr. Ryan Failor Waits, age 48, of Taylorsville, Utah, passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2025.
Ryan was born on Wednesday, November 3, 1976, in Alexandria, Virginia to Norman Dennis and Candi Failor Waits. He was preceded in death by his mother, Candi Waits; stepmother, Brenda Waits; uncle, Herschel Waits; and aunt, Jeannette Stephens; aunt and uncle, Penny and Clay Ries; cousin, Joe Waits. Ryan attended school in Vermont and later attended college at the University of Montana where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in computer science. Ryan worked at Lockheed-Martin and contracted with The Pentagon and FBI at Quantico, Virginia. He had recently moved to Salt Lake City, Utah.
Ryan is survived by his father, Dennis Waits of Fairfax Station, VA; brother, Taylor Waits of Fairfax Station, VA; aunts and uncles, Herman and Nancy Waits of Jackson, GA, Ruth and Harold Smith of Jackson, GA, Michael Peters of Jackson, GA, Marty Suerth of Georgetown, TX, Bobby Stephens of Jackson, GA, Dollie Waits of Louisville, GA; cousins, Joe and Leslie White of Jackson, GA, Leigh Ann and Randy Brown of Jackson, GA, Robbi and Tracy Walden of Louisville, GA, Brandy Danison of Jackson, GA, Katy and Daniel Paulk of Douglas, GA, Clay and Brittany Peters of Jackson, GA, Matt and Ashley Peters of Jackson, GA, Rivers Waits of Jackson, GA, Susie Crowe of Sarasota, FL, Mike Suerth of Houston, TX, Joe Ries of Gilbert, AZ; several more, nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
A graveside service for Mr. Ryan Waits will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Monday, May 5, 2025, at Jackson City Cemetery with Pastor Keith Joseph officiating. Friends may visit the family from 2:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. prior to the service at Sherrell-Westbury Funeral Home.
