It was wonderful serving with Bryan on the Trustees Committee both 2023 and 2024. He was able to help us get so many things accomplished that helped Jackson United Methodist Church. My prayers go out to his wife, and 2 boys who I know he loved dearly.
Always, Joy Huston

Although Kent and I are heartbroken, we are praising God and thanking Him for allowing Bryan Bush to be our wonderful earthly son-in-law for almost 31 years! Bryan was the “model” husband to Jennifer and the “model” dad to Brett and Brody. Hayes could not have hand-picked or wished for a better brother-in-law, than Bryan. He was a Christian man who enjoyed working for the Lord in church, the community, and on mission trips. Bryan was or had been an adviser to many and a leader in every phase of his life. Bryan was loved by many and will be tremendously missed—he will always be “one of the good ones”!!! We will always love Bryan. God certainly blessed us when Bryan became part of our family! To paraphrase what Paul wrote to the Christians in Philippians 1:3 Every time I think of you (Bryan Bush), I give thanks to my God (that you are our son-in-law). We are especially praying for Jennifer, Brett, and Brody.

I worked with Bryan at Henry County Tax Assessors Office. He had an infectious laugh and loved to joke around. He was so good at his job along with teaching those around him too. Precious memories. Praying for Jennifer and family.

I have many fond memories of working with Bryan at McLaurin Graphics. He was kind and smart and genuinely cared about others. I didn’t see him often but when I did it was always nice to catch up. Praying for the comfort only God can give. I am thankful to have known him!

Bryan notes
Many people for ten years or more knew Bryan as Mr. Bryan whether it was singing during worship while sitting on a cooler in a hotel room, picking beans in 100 degree heat, locking the handle on a zipline, teaching someone how to use a pressure washer or playing paintball.
One thing we all noticed on youth trips was that when he got in a van, he would say phone, keys, wallet, and pat his pockets to make sure he had them. Brody says he always did this every time they went places as a family. Bryan was always prepared.
And we enjoyed playing card games, a game called signs and gagaball with him. In fact, one year at Awanita, noone could beat him, even Brett, and he was deemed the gagaball champion.
For years Mr. Bryan has been a mentor to youth and chaperones alike . We have had a great friend and a role model disciple in Bryan Bush. Everyone is forever better for having the privilege of knowing him.

Brian was in my kindergarten class at Piedmont Academy. I had not seen him in years, but when I did see him, I introduced him to my husband as “ my very first boyfriend”. It was good to catch up with him. My Gran, Nora Ball, thought a lot of his family. Prayers to all.

Our hearts and prayers are with the Bush family. Bryan was a wonderful young man who impacted many lives and we loved him. He was a great businessman and leader and so much more because he gave generously to others and many causes from his heart.

Such a tragedy. Bryan’s family are in my prayers.
During our elementary and junior high days Bryan and I spent countless hours in his front yard trying to recreate the plays we’d just watched on This Week in Baseball. After that Mrs. Gail would make us lunch and then we’d head to either my house or B. Hoard’s house to play basketball. Bryan was possibly the kindest, most polite friend I had during my childhood. Though distance and time separated us after high school, I’ll never forget our friendship.

I was a few years behind Bryan in school, but we got to know each other through the years. He was always smiling and so friendly. We were in a play together called Oklahoma! It was a hit for sure! I would see Bryan ever 6 months at my job as a hygienist at Dr. Fortsons office. I actually did his teeth about 2 wks ago. We would talk about his boys and world events. I’m so glad I got to talk to him before he left this world! I know he’s at peace with Jesus now! Until I see you again, rest in peace my friend!

Q: What will you never forget about Bryan?
A: I’ll never forget talking Bryan into playing Curly in the JHS production of Oklahoma. He did a phenomenal job even if he really wouldn’t sing a note. Bryan was an amazing person and an outstanding dad. He will truly be missed. Heaven gained a great one!

I am so heartbroken to hear of Bryan’s passing. I worked with Bryan at Henry County and learned so much from him. He was such a kind soul. I was also, lucky to have also met his father with my dad’s passing in which he helped me a great deal. My prayers are with this sweet family at such a difficult time. Bryan will be greatly missed by many.

Bryan always had a way of making people laugh and bringing smiles to their faces, especially through teasing sarcastically. I’ll never forget the time we chaperoned the senior cruise trip and everyone thought we were all some weird family unit. Mom, dad, crazy aunt Janet, and the kids. What a hoot! Bryan was always so fun to serve alongside. He is sorely missed.
