Obituary of Michael Raymond Lowery

Mr. Michael Raymond “Mike” Lowery, age 70, of Monticello, Georgia, passed away Tuesday, June 17, 2025.

 

Mike was born on Sunday, September 5, 1954, in Decatur, Georgia to the late Donald Jackson Lowery and the late Lois Smith Lowery. In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his brother, Stanley Lowery. He worked for many years as a diesel engineer with Trucks, Inc.

 

Mike is survived by his daughter, Dana Lowery; special friend, Gina Walker; grandson, Casey Chandler; and nieces, Jenny Lowery, Kelly Hayden.

 

A celebration of life for Mr. Mike Lowery will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, June 22, 2025, at the New Bethlehem Baptist Church, 4430 Jackson Lake Road, Monticello, Georgia 31064, with Pastor Blake Thomas and Reverend Danny Sorrells officiating. Friends may visit the family following the service.

 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Heart Association, www.heart.org, PO Box 840692, Dallas, Texas 75284-0692.
