


Obituary of Glen Aubrey Nelson
Mr. Glen Aubrey Nelson, age 91, of Jackson, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at his home.
Glen was born on Monday, July 31, 1933, in Marshall County, Alabama, to the late J.B. and Emma Dean Nelson. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, whom he adored, Frances Nelson; and 7 brothers. Glen was a veteran of the United States Navy and served during the Korean War. He was a member of Rock Springs Church and retired from the Georgia Power Company. Glen enjoyed his church, motorcycle trips with his wife, and gardening.
Glen is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Gwen and Bennie Gibson, Kim Nelson, Pat and David Jones, Paige Holmes; grandchildren, Carl Gibson, Ben Gibson, Josiah Jones, Paul Jones, Sarah Jones, Stephen Jones, Rachel Holmes, Hunter Holmes, Layton Holmes, Aubrey Holmes; 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Walker; sister-in-law, Joyce Jolley; many beloved nieces, nephews.
A funeral service for Mr. Glen Nelson will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at Providence Church at Rock Springs Church with Dr. Benny Tate officiating. Interment will follow in the Rock Springs Church Cemetery. Friends may visit the family Monday, June 30, 2025, from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 PM. at the funeral home.
