Obituary of Martha Roberts
Mrs. Martha Roberts, age 82, of Jackson, Georgia, affectionally known as “BaBa”, passed away Wednesday, September 17, 2025 at River Place Assisted Living & Memory Care in Forsyth, Georgia.
Martha was born on Saturday, October 31, 1942 in Rockdale County, Georgia to the late C.T. and Sallie Pearl Fisher. Along with Martha’s parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Danny Roberts; and a brother, Clifford Fisher. Her love of children led her to serve in the children’s nursery for many years at Macedonia Baptist Church. She felt blessed to be surrounded by little ones and loved them as if they were her very own.
She is survived by her children and their spouses, Robin & Jim Hunt, Rhonda & Steve Rhoton, Rodney & Jenny Roberts; grandchildren, Amanda & Kyle Burge, Emily Hunt, Daniel & Kelsey Yancy, Joey & Kirsten Yancy, Joseph & Brittany Sells, Jacob & Lexi Roberts, Jonah Roberts; great-grandchildren, Olivia Dial, Sailor Dial, Tara Grace Thomas, Maddox Powell, Ty Burge, Alexis Yancy, Cheyanne Yancy, Lakelyn Yancy, Kara Deen, Josie Sells, Jolie Sells and Myles Roberts; brother and sister-in-law, Richard & Brenda Fisher; in-laws, Charles & Doris Roberts; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Martha Roberts will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, September 19, 2025 at Macedonia Baptist Church with Dr. Lane Sanders officiating. Interment will follow in the Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery. Friends may visit the family on Friday from 12:00 noon until the hour of service. The family wishes to express our sincere gratitude to the dedicated staff at River Place for the past 5 years. We are thankful for all of the loving care that was provided to our “BaBa”. The support and kindness of the precious caregivers there have always brought great comfort to us. They are and will always be a part of our family.
We are forever thankful for the exceptional care and comforting presence of the professional team at Eternal Hope Hospice. They provided unwavering compassion and dignity which made our loved one’s last days peaceful.
