Obituary of Ernest "Buddy" Orr,Jr.

Mr. Ernest “Buddy” Orr, Jr., age 72, of Flovilla, Georgia, passed away Thursday, September 18, 2025.

Buddy was born on Sunday, June 14, 1953, in Brevard, North Caolina to the late Ernest Orr, Sr. and the late Julie Barton Orr. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Roxanne Orr, grandchild, Isiah Orr, brother, Jack Orr. He was a great man, well known in the community.

Buddy is survived by his son, Robert Orr; grandchildren, Samantha Orr, Robert Orr, Autum Orr; sisters, Brenda Houston, Juanita Shook (Glennon), Pat Alexander (Gary); close freind, Letha Kinard. Several nieces, nephews and extended family.

A Funeral Service for Mr. Ernest “Buddy” Orr, Jr. will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at Sherrell Memorial Chapel, with Pastor David Dawson officiating. Interment will follow at Flovilla South Cemetery. Friends may visit the family on Tuesday September 23, 2025 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Sherrell- Westbury Funeral Home.
