Obituary of Katherine Lynn Thitoff Goodroe
Mrs. Katherine Lynn Thitoff Goodroe, age 76, of Jackson, Georgia, passed away Wednesday, January 7, 2026.
Kathy was born on Sunday, September 11, 1949, in Wapakoneta, Ohio to the late Vincent John Thitoff and the late Ruby Jesslyn Naylor Thitoff. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her sisters, Artiff Thitoff Mertz, Pamela Cooper-Miller; great-granddaughter, Isabella Ryder.
Kathy was a devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished “Noni,” as she was affectionately known by her grandchildren. She attended Ohio State University and began her professional life as a flight attendant in the 1970s, a role that sparked her lifelong love of travel. She later built a successful career in real estate, where her warmth, dedication, and professionalism left a lasting impression on all who knew her, before retiring to travel more with her husband and spend precious time with her family. Kathy especially loved the sun-soaked beaches of Gulf Shores, Alabama, and found great joy cruising throughout the Caribbean and Europe. She was a proud and active member of the Atlanta Classic Thunderbird Club for more than 25 years. Above all, Kathy will be remembered for her generous spirit and deep love for her family.
Kathy is survived by her husband of 49 years, Dr. Richard Goodroe; children, Tyler Goodroe (Andrea Gockley), Brittany Beene (Nate), Ashley Goodroe, Jennie Goodroe; grandchildren, Caitlyn Ryder (Nathaniel), Chappell Goodroe, Jerdan Miller, Nathan Beene, Margrit Katherine Beene, Ridge Sardella, Ashton Sardella, Lakelynn Fulton; great-grandchildren, Wilder Ryder, Harper Ryder; brother, Donald Thitoff; several nieces, nephews and extended family members.
