Obituary of Ronald Joseph Holtgreven
Mr. Ronald “Ronnie” Joseph Holtgreven, Sr., age 68, of Jackson, Georgia, passed away Friday, January 23, 2026.
Ronnie was born on Monday, April 15, 1957, in Dayton, Ohio to the late Irene Frances Jordan McGatha. Along with his mother, he is preceded in death by his stepfather, Jim McGatha; and brother, Kenny Howell.
Ronnie is survived by his wife of 39 years, Michelle Holtgreven; son and daughter-in-law, Joey and Taylor Holtgreven; daughter, Pamela Harper; brother and sister-in-law, David and Sandy Howell; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Tangie and Eddie Wiggley; mother-in-law, Deborah Coble; and nieces, Brooke Ozburn, Sydney Ozburn, Brittany Fincher.
Ronnie worked as a mechanic for Trucks, Inc. He was an avid NASCAR fan and college football fan where he would cheer on the University of Georgia and University of Alabama. Ronnie loved his Great Dane, Sara. He will be deeply missed.
A funeral service for Mr. Ronnie Holtgreven will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at Sherrell Memorial Chapel with Reverend David Dawson officiating. Interment will follow at Jackson City Cemetery. Friends may visit the family from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at the funeral home.
