Obituary of Raymond Eugene Lane

Mr. Raymond Eugene Lane, age 65, of Jackson, Georgia, passed away Tuesday, January 20, 2026.

Raymond was born on Monday, August 8, 1960, in Ft. Pierce, Florida to the late Jimmy Lane and the late Lois Rentz Lane. He was a kindhearted, family loving man with a witty sense of humor. Some things he enjoyed were fishing and the Georgia Bulldogs. Raymond was a good friend, a great father, and will be deeply missed.

Raymond is survived by his wife, Anita Lane; children, Josh Lane, Sierra Lane, Jacob Lane; siblings, Joyce, Diane, Julie, “Pinky”, and Jim; several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

A memorial service for Mr. Raymond Lane will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at Sherrell Memorial Chapel with Reverend David Dawson officiating. Friends may visit the family one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
