Obituary of Beverly Louise Whatley
Mrs. Beverly Louise Cooper Whatley, age 91, of Jackson, Georgia, passed away on Monday, February 9, 2026.
Beverly was born on Thursday, November 29, 1934, in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Edward Cooper and the late Virginia Jenkins Cooper. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Billy Whatley; sisters, Shirley Finazzo, Joyce DeMaio; and brothers, Jimmy Cooper, Tommy Cooper. She enjoyed shopping and going to yard sales. Beverly also loved to travel, especially to Panama City Beach and casinos. Most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Beverly is survived by her children, Bobby and Barbara Thomas, Junie and Keith Williams, Bill and Leigh Whatley; grandchildren, Shannon Powell (Michael), Blake Thomas (Stephanie), Casey Wheeler (Britni), Cari Wallace (Jason), Rhett Whatley (Kari), Lance Whatley (Nicole), Lindsey Butler (David); 14 great-grandchildren; sisters and brother-in-law, Debra Timpson, Susan and Larry Sims; several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
A funeral service for Mrs. Beverly Whatley will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Friday, February 13, 2026, at Macedonia Baptist Church with Mr. Rudy Mangham officiating. Visitation will take place from 11:00 P.M. until 12:00 P.M. Interment will follow at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery. The family would like everyone to know there will be a reception to follow interment in the fellowship hall at the church.
