Mr. Cecil Macon Beal, age 79, of Jackson, Georgia, passed away Sunday, May 28, 2017.
Cecil was born on Wednesday, January 12, 1938 in Trion, Georgia to the late Earnest Macon Beal and the late Annie Myrtle Rogers Beal. Cecil was a Veteran of the United States Navy. He retired from Delta Airlines after 32+ years of service. Cecil was an active Mason for over 43 years, 1973 until 2017. He served on the Butts County Board of Tax Assessors and The Butts County Board of Equalization and served as Chairman of both boards. He was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church.
Cecil is survived by his wife of 49 years, Charlotte Musselwhite Beal; son and his fiance’, Jeff Richardson and Susie Upchurch; adopted children, Connie Rosser, Jonathan Macon Beal and Frederic Cecil Beal; grandchildren, Jessica Richardson, Erin Richardson and Heather Rosser; great-granddaughter, Journee Lia Richardson; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Jolane and Leland Adams; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mr. Cecil Beal will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at Macedonia Baptist Church with Dr. Lane Sanders and Mr. Rudy Mangham officiating. Interment will follow in the Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery. Friends may visit the family on Tuesday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the New Bus Fund c/o Macedonia Baptist Church, 155 Macedonia Church Road, Jackson, Georgia 30233 in memory of Mr. Cecil Beal.
