Mr. James Richard Maloy, age 73, of Locust Grove, Georgia, passed away Friday, June 9, 2017 at his residence. He was born on Monday, March 27, 1944 in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Tommy Lee Maloy and the late Clara Mae Whitworth Maloy. Richard was preceded in death by his brothers, Jack, Bill, Woodard, E.J., and Roger, and sisters, Elizabeth and Francis. He was of the Baptist faith. Richard was the owner of Maloy’s Forklift. He enjoyed flying, traveling, and tinkering with things. Richard is survived by his wife, Pam Maloy; children, David R. and Wanda Maloy, Krystal Y. and Scott Finger, Kimberly and Sean Wilmert, Angela and Spencer Moseley, Rickey and Jessica Maloy, Rachel and Chris Hunt, Dexter and Beth Underwood, Rodney and Angie Underwood, Kayla and Brandon Hightower; 24 grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Henry Baxter; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mr. Richard Maloy will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 in the Sherrell Memorial Chapel with Reverend Troy White officiating. Interment will follow in Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Newton County. Friends may visit the family at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
