Obituary of Dale Richard Erickson

Mr. Dale Richard Erickson, age 87, of Jackson, Georgia, passed away on Monday, November 6, 2023, at Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center.

Dale was born on Friday, March 27, 1936, in Greenbush, Minnesota, to the late Clarence Loyal Erickson and the late Gladys Viola Peterson Erickson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Karen Gail Blaido Erickson; and brother, Roger Dean Erickson. Dale was a veteran of the United States Air Force and worked as an Air Traffic Controller with the FAA.  He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Jackson Branch and loved painting, reading, and gardening. Reading about the Civil War and Revolutionary War was one of his big interests and he enjoyed playing cards and Carbles.

Dale is survived by his children and spouses, Denell and Tony Angelo; Donise and Doug Hall, Suzanne and Warren Puckett, Dale II and Alesha Erickson, Kenyon and Michelle Erickson; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and sister, Harriet Arlene Kezar.

Funeral Services for Mr. Dale Erickson will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. at Sherrell Memorial Chapel with President Rick Jones officiating. Interment will follow at Jackson City Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Friday evening, November 10, 2023, from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
