Mr. Melvin Findley, age 84, of Jackson, Georgia, passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2024.

 

Melvin was born on Thursday, October 19, 1939, in Washington, Georgia to the late Newton Emory Findley and the late Fannie Matt Beasley Findley. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his 5 sisters and 6 brothers. Melvin was a member of Abundant Life Assembly of God.  He enjoyed gardening, yard work, and antiquing.  Melvin was also a fan of the Atlanta Braves and liked going to the mountains.

 

Melvin is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mary Ann Findley; brother, Marvin Findley; many nieces and nephews.

 

Funeral services for Mr. Melvin Findley will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at the Sherrell Memorial Chapel with Reverend Judy Frisbie and Pastor Carol Renfroe officiating. Friends may visit the family one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
