Mrs. Margueritte Elizabeth Elliott Marks, "The Pie Lady", of Jackson, GA, died Monday, September 20, 2010 at Autumn Village. Mrs. Marks was born September 26, 1916 in Atlanta, GA to the late Franklin Bonnard and Ellamae Hesterly Elliott. She loved her family and enjoyed gardening, hair dressing and sewing. She was a homemaker and the widow of the late Lamar Marks Mrs. Margueritte Marks is survived by one daughter, Susan Jordan, of Griffin; 3 grandsons; 5 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mrs. Margueritte Marks will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at Towaliga Baptist Church with Rev. Jay Sanders, Rudy Mangham, and Ralph Wilson officiating. Interment will be at Towaliga Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Marks will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 until 8:00 PM Tuesday evening. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations be made to the Towaliga Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 674, Jackson, GA 30233.
