Obituary of Jenell Grant

Ms. Jenell Parker Grant, of McDonough, GA, died Friday, August 27, 2010 at her residence. Ms. Grant was born September 2, 1942 in Jackson, GA to the late Clyde L. and Sarah Thompson Parker. She loved her family, enjoyed traveling, gardening, playing cards, reading and always had a smile for everyone. She was a member of the Worthville Baptist Church. Ms. Jenell Grant is survived by 3 daughters and sons-in-law, Mischelle and Brian Burns, of Covington, Lorraine and Randy Funderburk, of Newborn, Lanelle and Eric Davis, of Newborn; 2 sisters and one brother-in-law, Pat Smith, of Jackson, Jan and Bryant Mayo, of McDonough; brother and sister-in-law, Lynwood and Frances Parker, of Monticello; sister-in-law, Linda Parker; grandchildren; great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Christopher Parker. Funeral services for Ms. Jenell Grant will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, August 30, 2010 at Worthville Baptist Church with Pastor Dale Davis officiating. Interment will be at Worthville Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8:00 p.m. Saturday evening. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society, 135 Bradford Square, Suite B, Fayetteville, GA 30215 in memory of Ms. Grant.
