After nearly a century of life, Mrs. Lois Maddox Hicks, of Warner Robins, GA, died Wednesday, September 14, 2011 in Covington, GA. Lois was born May 11, 1915 in Brewton, GA to William Dessie and Emmie Mimbs Maddox. She enjoyed the Braves, politics, sewing, cooking, gardening, and shopping. Lois especially loved spending time with her family, friends and devoted neighbors. Lois Maddox Hicks is survived by her son, Charlton Maddox Hicks and his wife Barbara, of Stamford, CT; her daughter, Ann Campbell and her husband, Bob, of Social Circle, GA; two grandchildren, Chris Campbell and his wife, Lisa, and Leslie Campbell; two sisters, Lillian Bush, of Dublin, GA, and Margie Webb, of Garner, SC; and many nieces and nephews. Lois was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles M. Hicks, three sisters and a brother. Funeral services for Mrs. Lois Maddox Hicks will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, September 18, 2011 in Sherrell Memorial Chapel with Rev. John Brantley officiating. Interment will be at Yatesville City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 1:00 PM until the hour of service.
