Obituary of William Dawson Heath
Mr. William Dawson Heath, Jr., age 56, of Jackson, Georgia, passed away Monday, December 31, 2018 at Wellstar Atlanta Medical Center. He was born on Sunday, May 6, 1962 in Jackson, Georgia to the late William Dawson Heath, Sr. and the late Annie Louise Cochran Heath. Dawson was of baptist faith. He loved riding motorcycles and was the life of the party. Dawson was always there for a friend in need. He was good hearted and kind. Dawson was a former fireman for the City of Jackson. He retired from the City of Jackson as superintendent of the street department after 35 years. Dawson was preceded in death by his sisters, Peggy Knight and Barbara Rutledge.
Dawson is survived by his wife, Connie Heath; daughter and son-in-law, Skyler and Austin Daniel; step-children, Ashlee Traywick, Greg Allen; brother and sister-in-law, Billy and Sandra Heath; 7 grandchildren; aunt, Lillian Anglyn; several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service for Mr. Dawson Heath will be held Thursday, January 3, 2019 at 3:00 P.M. at Sherrell Memorial Chapel with Reverend Chip Garrison and Rudy Mangham officiating. Friends may visit the family at the funeral home from 1:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. Thursday afternoon. Friends may also visit at another time at their residence.
