Obituary of Dorothy Manning

Mrs. Dorothy Rose Jordan Manning, age 77, of Jackson, GA, died Monday, May 16, 2011 at The Medical Center of Central Georgia in Macon. She was born January 30, 1934 in Birmingham, AL, daughter of the late Levi and Dossie Harper Hawkins. Mrs. Manning was a member of Second Baptist Church. She enjoyed shopping, dining out, church activities and spending time with her family. Mrs. Dorothy Manning is survived by 2 daughters, Ava Crisler, of Kennesaw, and Lisa Manning, of Jackson; son, Michael Wayne Manning, of Jackson; 2 grandchildren, Eric Crisler and Leslie Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Barney (Mike) Manning, and 2 brothers, Thomas and Harlan Jordan. Grave side funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy Manning will be held at 11:30 AM Thursday, May 19, 2011 at City of Jonesboro Cemetery with Pastor David Swieringa officiating.
