Obituary of Helen Mabel Hightower

Mrs. Helen M. Hightower, age 92, of Locust Grove, GA passed away Saturday, March 9, 2019 at Sacred Journey Hospice. She was born Tuesday, December 28, 1926, in San Pedro, CA, daughter of the late Edward Joseph Trembly and the late Mae Dorthea Nelligan Trembly. Mrs. Hightower attended Heritage Baptist Church and was a member of River of Life Church in Sweet Home, OR. She was preceded in death by husband, Ted Hightower; son, Michael Pirot.

Mrs. Hightower is survived by son, Paul Edward Lane (Fauziah); daughters, Dollie Victoria Swindoll (Reuben), Gloria Eastland, Geneva Hall (Jim Overman), Twyla Eastland (Leroy); several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Helen endured many difficulties in childhood, but accepted Jesus as her savior on September 5, 1960.  Through her faith in Jesus she overcame her troubles to make a wonderful life for herself and her family.  Her children always knew she loved them. Helen was a light in the world for Jesus and was an encourager to the people around her.

A memorial service for Mrs. Helen M. Hightower will be held 2pm, March 30, 2019 at River of Life Church in Sweet Home, Oregon with Gary Hooley officiating. Interment will precede service in Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, OR. Those who wish may sign the online guest registry at www.sherrell-westburyfuneralhome.com
