Mr. Clomer Lucious Kitchens, age 90, of Jackson, GA, died Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at Grady Memorial Hospital. He was born December 18, 1920 in Covington, GA, son of the late Lucious Oliver and Ozella Parker Kitchens. Mr. Kitchens served in the U.S. Army in WWII in Germany and France. He was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church, enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and spending time with his family. Mr. Clomer Kitchens is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Gail and Titus Greene, of Shelby, NC; 2 grandsons, Rusty and Andy Greene. Several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to his wife, Betty Thaxton Kitchens, he was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 1 sister. Funeral services for Mr. Clomer Kitchens will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, May 13, 2011 at Sherrell Memorial Chapel with Rev. Lane Sanders officiating. Interment will be at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Thursday evening.
