Obituary of Charles Blalock

Mr. Charles Ezra Blalock, Sr., age 76, of Jackson, GA, passed away Saturday, August 10, 2019. He was born Saturday, April 24, 1943, in Fulton County, son of Tom Blalock and Elizabeth Sue Williamson Cauley. Charles was an owner and operator in the trucking industry. He worked in construction most of his life and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Charles was preceded in death by two children, Charles Blalock, Jr., and Wanda Sue Duttenhoffer; brother, Thomas Blalock; sister, Nancy Blalock.

Charles is survived by his wife of 56 years, Rose Blalock; children and their spouses, Nancy and Rolando Orellana, Sharon and James Doty, Steven and Cathy Blalock; nine grandchildren, Denise, Charles, Jessica, Elizabeth, Scott, Stephanie, Leigh, Travis and Nichole; 17 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Danny and Christine Chambless, Randy and Suzanne Chambless; sister-in-law, Jean Blalock; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

A funeral service for Mr. Charles Blalock will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, August 13, 2019, in the Sherrell Memorial Chapel with Mr. Jerry Paulk officiating. Interment will follow in the Tanners Baptist Church Cemetery in Ellenwood. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday afternoon from 3:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. and Monday from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
