Bob and Kathleen could write a book on how to raise happy children. We admired their parenting skills so much that we tried to be like them in raising our own four children. What I admired most about Kathleen was her "calmness." No matter what happened, Kathleen remained calm and spoke in a soft voice. I remember when teenage Bobby said, "Mom, I wrecked the car." Kathleen replied, "Bobby, take an aspirin and go to bed." Our own children strived to be like Kathleen's and Bob's children. Even though Bob and Kathleen were very involved in our community, they were always there for their children first. Heaven has gained an angel to teach and lead the children and adults. I never saw Kathleen when she was not smiling. Rest in peace thou good and faithful servant after a life well lived in service to God. Your life is truly something to celebrate.
