Mrs. Jewell “Gran” Rutledge, age 100, of Jackson, Georgia, passed away Friday, September 6, 2019, at Westbury Medical Care Home. She was born Monday, February 24, 1919, in Atlanta. Jewell loved cooking and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dorsey Rutledge. 

 

Jewell is survived by her children and their spouses, Jimmy Dorsey Rutledge of Richland, Washington, David Michael and Robin Rutledge of Charlotte, North Carolina, Ann and Alex Bostow of Monticello; grandchildren, Jeff Rutledge, Jill Russell, Zac Rutledge, Rebecca Perry, Duna Gullion, and Amy Stanton; nine great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild.

 

A graveside service for Mrs. Jewell “Gran” Rutledge will be held at 1:00 P.M., Monday, September 9, 2019, at Melwood Cemetery in Stone Mountain. A celebration of life will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, October 19, 2019, at Westbury Medical Care Home in Jackson. In-lieu of flowers please make donations to the Alzheimer's Association, https://www.alz.org.
