Retired Sgt. Major Olin Lee Glaze, of Jackson, GA, died Wednesday, February 1, 2012. He was born March 31, 1932 in Jackson, GA to the late Robert Lee and Kate Norris Glaze. He was retired from the US Army following 22 yrs of service and retired from the US Postal Service in Jackson. Olin enjoyed cooking, traveling, watching wrestling, crossword puzzles, and loved spending time with his family. He was also a Mason for many years. Olin is survived by a daughter, Cheryl Brittian, of Jackson; 2 sons, Terry Morgan and Rodney Morgan, both of Jackson; 8 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 yrs, Pauline Vivian Glaze, who passed away January 29, 2011; granddaughter, Lee Ann Gilmon; great-grandson, William Parthemore, Jr.; sister, Lois Stodghill; brother, James Glaze. Grave side funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, February 4, 2012 at Jackson City Cemetery with a Military Chaplain officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 - 8:00 PM Friday evening. Those who wish may sign the on-line guest registry at www.sherrellfh.com.
