Obituary of Kathryn Guest Veal

Mrs. Kathryn Guest Veal, age 94, of Jackson, Georgia, passed away Saturday, December 28, 2019. She was born on Sunday, September 20, 1925 in Wilkes County, daughter of the late George Fred Guest and the late Ethel Smith Guest. Kathryn was a member of Glenwood Hills Church. She was an avid reader, enjoyed playing golf and loved to travel. Kathryn was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Philmore Veal, Jr. Kathryn is survived by her daughter, Phyllis Angela Cook; son, Fred P. Veal III and Angela; grandchildren, Andrea Kathryn Cook Lawson, Keith R. Cook Jr., Christina Lindsey, Matthew Veal, Jennifer Stone, and Samantha Jervis; great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Nicole Lawson, Chloe Elizabeth Lawson, Gavin Michael Cook, Hayley Kently Cook, Kaylee, Lexi, Harper, Hayden, Jade and Dalton. A funeral service for Mrs. Kathryn Guest Veal will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, January 3, 2020, at Sherrell Memorial Chapel with Pastor Rick Jackson officiating. Interment will follow in the Fairview Memorial Cemetery in Stockbridge. Friends may visit the family at the funeral home Thursday evening from 5:00 P.M. until 6:30 P.M.
