Patricia Ann "Pat" Long, of Jackson, GA, passed away Sunday, February 3, 2013 at her residence. Pat was born June 7, 1942 in Monticello, GA to the late Jesse Albert Long and the late Ruby Goodman Long. She was retired from Central Georgia E.M.C. and was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan. Pat is survived by her brothers and sisters-in-law, Jack and Edna Earl Long, of Jackson, Mac and Nan Long, of Athens; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Pat Long will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at Sherrell Memorial Chapel. Interment will be at Jackson City Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Steve Long, Jeff Long, Bobby Long, Allan Long, Fred Long, Mike Long and Chris Giambalvo. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7:00 - 9:00 PM Tuesday evening. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Homestead Hospice and Palliative Care, 791 Highway 36 East, Unit 103, Jackson, GA 30233 or to the American Cancer Society, 301 Kelly Dr., Suite 3, Peachtree City, GA 30269 in memory of Pat.
