Edith Satterwhite, age 78, of McDonough, GA, passed away Friday, February 1, 2013 at her residence in McDonough. She was born on October 1, 1934 in Hawkinsville, GA to the late Willie LeeThompson and the late Letha Simmons Thompson. She is preceded in death by her sisters Ida Dobbs, Lois Cook and Brenda Picken. Edith is survived by her husband of 61 yrs, Jack Satterwhite, Sr.; daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda and Tony Blake; son and daughter-in-law, Jack, Jr. and Sue Satterwhite; 7 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter; sisters, Mary Wilhite, Inez Nicholson, Hazel Dobbs, Ruth Reagan, Barbara Darby, Jean Nicholson; son-in-love, Larry Watson; several nieces and nephews. Graveside services for Edith Satterwhite will be held at 3:00 PM Monday, February 4, 2013 at Rock Springs Methodist Church Cemetery with Dr. Benny Tate officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM Monday prior to the service. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the St. Jude's Children Cancer Center, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
