Franklin Dean Cochran, of Jackson, GA, passed away Saturday, February 2, 2013. He was born on June 8, 1943 in Sylvania, GA to the late Pinkney Cochran and the late Clara Bragg Cochran. He was a member of Worthville Baptist Church, served in the US Navy, enjoyed BINGO, auctions, Lotto, and loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He is preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. Frankie is survived by his wife of 46 years, Joyce Cochran, of Jackson; daughter, Angie Washington, of Jackson; son, Terry Cochran, of Jackson; 9 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Mary Gunter, of Jackson; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Franklin Cochran will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at Sherrell Memorial Chapel with Rev. David Osteen officiating. Interment will be at Jackson City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Monday evening. Those who wish may sign the online guest registry at www.sherrell-westburyfh.com. Sherrell-Westbury Funeral Home, 212 East College Street, Jackson, is serving the Cochran family.
