Vera Luna Ward, of Forsyth, GA, died Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at Herritage Health Care of Forsyth. She was born October 26, 1928 in Wardell, MO to the late Ollie Howard and Dora Edna Watts Barron. She enjoyed gardening, outdoors, and loved spending time with her family. Miss Vera is survived by her husband, John Louis Ward, of Forsyth; 3 sons and daughters-in-law, John and Joy Ward, of Barnesville, Rev. Stephen and Rita Ward, of Phenix City, AL, Dennis and Darlene Ward, of Gulf Breeze, FL; 2 grandchildren; KimAnn and Michael Gatlin, and John E. Ward; 2 great-grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Gene and Juanita Barron of Yucaipa, CA; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 2 sons, 1 sister and 6 brothers. Grave side services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, June 18, 2011 at Jackson City Cemetery with Rev. Larry Payne, of Jesus First Ministries, officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 - 7:00 PM Friday evening. The family is accepting flowers or donations to your favorite charity.
