Obituary of William Jesse James

Mr. William Jesse James, age 72, of Locust Grove, Georgia passed away on Thursday, May 12, 2022.
Jesse was born on Friday, May 12, 1950, in Jackson, Georgia to the late William Ardell James and the late Doris Wilson James. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Bonnie Cook. Jesse was a member of Towaliga Baptist Church and retired from the United States Postal Service. He enjoyed grilling and cooking on the smoker, being outdoors, and spending time with his family and neighbors. Jesse was an alumnus of the University of Georgia and a huge Georgia Bulldogs fan.
Jesse is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey “Jeff” Alan James and Ginger; grandchildren, Jaycie Banister and James, Ansley Johnson, Ethan Marchbank; great-grandchildren, Kayden and Coley; nephew, Dale Cook; cousin, Jan Washington; dogs, Polly and Molly.
Funeral services for Mr. Jesse James will be held on Sunday, May 15, 2022, at 3:00 P.M. at Towaliga Baptist Church with Mr. Rudy Mangham officiating. Interment will follow at Towaliga Baptist Church Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the service at the church.
