Georgia Mae Bryan, of Jackson, GA, died Thursday, November 18, 2010 at Monroe County Hospital. She was born on August 3, 1935 in McRae, GA daughter of the late Talmadge Dewitt Towns and Lola Bowen Dean. Mrs. Bryan was a member of High Falls First Baptist Church. She loved camping in the North Georgia mountains. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a member of the Atlanta Braille Volunteers for many years, producing braille books for blind children across the state of Georgia. Mrs. Georgia Bryan is survived by her husband, Richard Bryan, of Jackson; children, Mark Anthony and Susan Bryan, of Beaumont, TX, Phillip Allen and Mary Bryan, of Byron, GA; 4 grandchildren, Elizabeth A. Padron, Mark Anthony Bryan, Jr., Christopher Allen Bryan and Andrew Phillip Bryan; sister, Ruth Ward, of Brunswick, GA; and brother, Johnny Dean, of Lumber City, GA. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-father, J.C. Dean Funeral services for Mrs. Georgia Bryan will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, November 22, 2010 at High Falls Baptist Church with Rev. Jeff Giddens officiating. Interment will follow at 2:00 PM in the Helena Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00 to 6:00 PM Sunday evening.
