Obituary of Waymon Earl Norton
Mr. Waymon Earl “Turk” Norton passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2022, at his home.
Turk was born on Tuesday, July 20, 1948, in Stockbridge, Georgia to the late Harvey James Norton and Mary Francis Hunt Norton. Along with his parents, Turk is also preceded in death by his sisters, Martha Hensley and Louise Carter.
Turk proudly served the United States Air Force, he also was a truck driver with Old Dominion for many years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and racing. Turk also loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Turk is survived by his wife, Janice Norton; children, Wendy Price of McDonough, and Chad Norton (Jessica) of Covington; brother, Horace Norton; grandchildren, Samantha Boyd (Dakota), Ryan Price (Cheyenne), Ethan Norton, and Aubrey Norton; great-granddaughters, Ava Drew, Ryleigh Price, and Charlotte Price.
A memorial service for Mr. Norton will be held Saturday, July 23, 2022, at Sherrell-Westbury Funeral Home at 3:00 P.M. Friends may visit with the family an hour prior to the service.
