Obituary of Henry Lee McElheney

Mr. Henry Lee McElheney, age 79, of Flovilla, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, September 13, 2022.

 

Henry was born on Tuesday, March 30, 1943, in Jackson, Georgia to the late Willis Lee McElheney and the late Elizabeth Alma Pelt McElheney. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, JoJo Johnson. He served 7 years in the United States Army and 20 years in the United States National Guard. Henry retired from Ford Motor Company and later worked at Hickory Hills Golf Course.  He was an avid golfer and a big Georgia Tech fan.


Henry is survived by his wife, Kathy McElheney; children, Carl Young, Valerie and DJ Winegard, Natoma and Derwin Campos, Kim and Raymond Edmonds, Casie Conrad; 13 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sisters and brother-in-law, Peggy Knowles, Cathy and Jamie Norsworthy; several nieces and nephews.

 

A graveside service for Mr. Henry McElheney will be held on Sunday, September 18, 2022, at 2:00 P.M. at Flovilla South Cemetery with Mr. Rudy Mangham officiating. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Saturday from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M.
