Fredrick George (Fred) Gordon, age 81, of Jackson, GA, passed away Thursday, July 4, 2013 at Spalding Regional Medical Center. He was born on October 1, 1931 in Tampa, FL to the late Henry Gordon and the late Lula Rawls Gordon. He is preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. Fred is survived by his wife, Evelyn Gordon, of Jackson; 2 daughters and son-in-law; Nita and Danny Gunter, and Sabrina Griffin, of FL; 5 sisters; Estel Holland, Marie Chapman, Shirley Perish, Pansy Hope,and Patsy Kelly, all of FL; brother, Jimmy Gordon, of FL; 3 grandchildren, Auburney, Pieczonka, Scott Hood, Dean Stigall; great-grandchildren, Corbin Coleman, Avery Pieczonka, Brittany Hood, Ryan Hood, Jacob Hood, and Joshua Hood Funeral services for Fred Gordon will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, July 8, 2013 at Sherrell Memorial Chapel with Rudy Mangham officiating. Inurnment will be at Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 – 2:00 PM Monday afternoon.
