Obituary of Jimmy Brooks

Mr. Jimmy Arthur Brooks, age 63, of Jackson, died Thursday, January 27, 2011 at Atlanta Medical Center. He was born on September 20, 1947 in Athens, GA. He enjoyed fishing, auctions, flea markets, NASCAR, sports, and loved his family very much. Mr. Jimmy Brooks is survived by his wife, Regina Brooks, of Jackson; 4 daughters, Denise Sherwood, of Jackson, Annette Sherwood, of Canton, Tammy Mullins, of Blairsville, Tracey Brooks, of Jackson; 2 sons, John Sherwood, of Jackson, Joey Brooks, of Blairsville; 19 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Judy Connell, of Jasper; 2 brothers, Timmy Brooks, of Dallas, Terry Brooks, of FL; several nieces and nephews. Memorial services for Mr. Jimmy Brooks will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, January 31, 2011 at Joshua’s Place with Pastor Rick Moncrief officiating.
