As I sit here and write this with each word I fight back to tears and struggle to sum up fifty-one years of memories. It seems so unfair to have to go another day without you because I know I will always need you. Your time here was just way too short. You were not just a cousin but a brother, we had our battles, and hard times but we stayed strong and had each other‘s back when needed. I am so glad we never left anything unsaid. On the day God called his next name, I could never have imagined it to be yours. At one time seven hundred miles was just a phone call away. That is impossible now. If Heaven had a phone line I would be on it or if it had a stairway I would climb it and bring you back to us. When you left you took a part of me with you. It broke my heart even more so to see the pain in your children and in our family. If I had one thing to share in hopes of bringing some comfort to our love ones I would say, looking back one thing we talked about the most was being with our Maw and Paw again. I know you are with them, you have sent me this signs. You are at peace and happy but that does not feel this void or heal this pain. There’s so many things to say. Most of all I want to say I am very blessed to have a brother, best friend, uncle to my daughter and for all the memories we had.
After our Paw passed you sent me this angel and it only seems fitting for me to share what it said.
Always in your heart
Picture me as I was
Full of life in love
Although I’m not with you now
I’m watching from above
You miss me
And I miss you too
It was my time to leave
As each of us will do
Although not in your arms
I’m always in your heart
The precious love we share
Means we’re never far apart
So with that being said, I will end this now but I will never say goodbye. I will say I love you and will see you later.
