Obituary of Katreen Duke

Mrs. Helen Katreen Elliott Duke, age 89, of Flovilla, Georgia, passed away Friday, July 26, 2013 at Westbury Medical Care Home. Mrs. Duke was born July 8, 1924 in Jackson, Georgia to the late Seaborn Askew Elliott and the late Annie Mildred Cook Elliott. She is preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Hollis Gerald Duke; her brothers, Sanford Elliott, Harold Elliott, and Charles Elliott.She was a member of Jackson Church of the Nazarene. Mrs. Duke was a Licensed Practical Nurse having worked at Sylvan Grove Hospital and Hill Top Nursing Home. Mrs. Duke is survived by her sister, Jean Hart of Rock Hill, Tennessee; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mrs. Katreen Duke will be conducted on Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the Sherrell Memorial Chapel. Reverend Thomas Cook and Dr. James Elliott will officiate. Interment will follow in Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m..
