Obituary of Edna Faye Mangum
Mrs. Edna Faye Mangum, age 86, of Jackson, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2023.
Edna was born on Thursday, February 6, 1936, in Kansas to the late Walter Allen and the late Anna Mae Vest Allen. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Billie Wayne Mangum; daughter, Vickie Sue Mangum; grandchildren, Matthew Mangum, Amanda Pilgrim; and siblings. Edna was a member of Joshua’s Place Church and enjoyed cooking and gardening. Most of all she loved her family and her grandbabies.
Edna is survived by her children and spouses, Allen Mangum, Danny and Patricia Mangum, Elizabeth and Victor Whitehead, Debra Peacock, John Mangum and James Riggs, Tonya and Joe Roberts; 11 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Funeral Service for Mrs. Edna Mangum will be held on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, at the Sherrell Memorial Chapel at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Rick Moncrief officiating. Interment will follow at Jackson City Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Monday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
