Willie Alfred “Flig” James, age 77, of Jackson, GA, passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at Spalding Regional Medical Center. He was born on December 13, 1935 in Jackson, GA to the late Wallace Jackson James and the late Lila Wright Strawn James. He is preceded in death by his sister, Vickie Kinard, and brothers, Edwin, Lamar, Thomas Lee, Marvin, Randall, Aubrey, and Roslyn James.
Flig is survived by his sister, Linda Cook; brothers and sister-in-law, Jackie James and Victor and Betty James; sisters-in-law, Betty Jane James and Sandra Cook James; several nieces and nephews
Funeral services for Flig James will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, August 2, 2013 at Sherrell Memorial Chapel with Pastor Tim Prickett and Rudy Mangham officiating. Interment will be at Pepperton Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 - 8 P.M. Thursday evening.
